Consumer dispute resolution

We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Section 36(1) no. 1 of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act).

The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025; Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 was repealed by Regulation (EU) 2024/3228. We therefore no longer link to it.

Liability for content

As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages under the general laws (Section 7(1) DDG). Under Sections 8 to 10 DDG, however, we are not obliged to monitor third-party information that is transmitted or stored, or to look for circumstances indicating unlawful activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under the general laws remain unaffected. Liability in this respect only arises from the moment we become aware of a specific infringement. As soon as we become aware of an infringement, we will remove the content without delay.

Customers are responsible for the content they create, upload or publish with Bookfairy, as set out in Section 10 of the General Terms and Conditions.

Liability for links

Our pages contain links to external third-party websites whose content we cannot control. We therefore accept no liability for this external content. The provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content. The linked pages were checked for possible legal infringements at the time the link was created; no unlawful content was apparent at that time. Permanent monitoring of linked pages is not reasonable without concrete indications of an infringement. As soon as we become aware of an infringement, we will remove the link without delay.
