When Ida pushed open the gate, it squeeked so loudly that the cranes on the bank took off, startled by it's racket. She had not been back since her grandmother died two years ago. “In October they fly to Africa,” her grandmother always used to say. The last time Ida had seen the lake was five years ago, on the day of the funeral.

Contradictions, jumps in the argument, steps that don't follow.

Claims, numbers and quotes that need a check or a source.

  • Final proofread

Questions about Editing

All questions

Does this cover a traditional edit?

It covers what a copy edit and a proofread check. Your entire manuscript is checked for spelling, grammar, style, sense and logic, and facts and sources, plus a final proofread. Every change is marked for you to accept or reject. What differs is the pricing: freelancers bill per word and often quote only after a sample, while here the price is fixed as soon as your manuscript is uploaded and counted.

How is the price set?

By the counted words of the uploaded manuscript: up to 30,000 words $46.80390 tokens, up to 60,000 $82.80690 tokens, up to 100,000 $118.80990 tokens. Splitting a manuscript does not pay off: two S cost more than one M.

Why words and not pages?

Pages only exist after typesetting and depend on trim size, font and spacing. Words are fixed, so the price is too.

Will my manuscript be used to train AI?

No. We only use your texts to provide the service. Training would need your separate, explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
